Culture days is a national event sponsored by The Ontario Trillium Foundation, The Ontario Arts Council, Sunlife Financial, CBC, Cineplex, and many more.
The event helps local groups get the word out about community and professional cultural events and activities. Whispering River Music has taken the pass, and is heading down the ice with this one!

Always wanted to sing with an orchestra? Riversongs Festival Choir was created just for that – and we love doing it. We don't rehearse all year, but 8 weeks before a concert we get to work. Come and meet our lovely conductor, Catherine Maguire, and learn to sing. No experience necessary. We will help you - that's our job. Catherine will be joined by Jeff Wiseman, tenor, who will lead a special sectional for men and choral singing.

Individual Lessons with Emily Sun. Emily is a fabulous violinist and teacher, and Concert Mistress of the orchestra. She uses Alexander Technique to help her teach and make you relax while you play for optimum ease of movement. And the little ones adore her. Book your lessons with her NOW as her time is limited. All styles and types of performers coached.

Workshop with Jacinthe Trudeau. Grand Master Fiddler Jacinthe is fun and great with kids and adults alike - come out and get fiddling! In a few weeks she is onstage at the Stockey at Fiddlefest. Classically trained, Jacinthe can do it all.

Book a lesson with Catherine or with our new tenor Jeff Wiseman and find your own Voice! Both our teachers hold degrees in music, and know how to make it fun. They are both experienced vocal coaches, and both love to sing ALL types of music. Don’t be shy – come and enjoy a massage for the soul …. All levels welcome.
